Closed-End Fund Advisors, has designed this webinar session in order give the basic information one should have before using CEFs to meet their personal or client investment goals and objectives. The closed-end fund structure is the oldest fund structure and dates back to the 19th century. Even though the structure is best known for global and bond (fixed-income) oriented funds as well the ability for many funds to employ leverage to enhance their yield if allows for good diversification into almost every asset class available in an investment company or 40 Act fund. The other two fund structures are mutual funds and exchange trades funds.
During 2008, many investors expected their buy-and-hold portfolios would weather the storm, however, many saw losses of 30%-60% of their principal value. We will give you a set of CEF guidelines and the beast resources to collect and find CEF information. You can expect to have a basic understanding of how to try and increase your future returns without taking undue portfolio risk.
